At Red Robin yesterday, the ambient music seemed to be playing some kind of acoustic version of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy". I'm thinking to myself, this was a pretty good rendition, so I googled it. Nothing for sure, but I'd be horrified to ultimately find out that I liked something by Nelly Furtado. edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wQ0Tl7f7Rg
Meanwhile, I have a new cube buddy. He's sitting next to me, and comments out of the blue "Is that Lou Reed?" One of the other cubicles seems to be playing, barely audibly, a muzak jazz version of "walk on the wild side".
Today, it's played twice, so we can't figure out if it's a web broadcast or a mix tape.
Subversiveness seems to come at me from all sides.
