I don't remember who I was going on-and-on with in one of my periodic rants about this very subject, but apparently I am not alone.
In other news, I'm all the way through Lee Smolin's book, "Three Roads to Quantum Gravity", and about half way through Peter Woit's book, "Not Even Wrong". It's like immersing myself in friendly company, this lot- I want to have a beer with them. One of the big bones I had to pick was with all the hoity-toity atheists at Ethical whose understanding of relativity was as shoddy as "The Tao of Physics" and would think they were being "sciencey" when they talked about parallel universes. Acid is bad, mmkay?
