I needed spring fertilizer and a steel spring rake, one of which I didn't actually buy. That said, I did buy a ton of small perennials and hedges, including

2 "Tiddlywinks" Kalmia (Mountain Laurel)
2 "Burkwood Broom" Cytisus scoparius
1 "Royal Heritage" Hellebore
I removed the azalea behind the garden, which I believe had become strangled by the profusion of ivy and had been woody and unimpressive last year, and was showing little sign of improvement this year. It is well established, and I was unable to fully get the stump out, so I have a project for later in the year.
Next week- check pH and take pictures of the progress of the garden. The bulbs are developing nicely and hopefully I will have some more flowers soon- the crocuses were a nice but very short lived show.
