There's a division of the federal government that covers the unemployment, disability, and retirement benefits of railroad workers. It was established because railroad workers crossed state lines and threrfore were inconsistently covered by state laws.

WTF? I cross state lines all the time, and I'm not going to get jack of a pension. I realize that's a specious argument, but still...

CFR42, chapter 7, which deals with social security, has a provision to grant $2.2mil to "combat mental retardation". WTF?
