Zoo Office. July 13, 2002

NIR/Color composite image of the Administrative office of Van Saun Park Zoo, Paramus, NJ. Photocomposite using Olympus C-4000. Red from Hoya R72 NIR filter image. Green from red light, and Blue from green light, from unfiltered image. Image noise removed and photo sharpened using Neat Image 2.2. Construction artifacts removed using Photoshop patch tool.

I do like these composite colour / IR images you;ve been doing, they are just the right combination of real life yet odd looking. :-)

somehow, this reminds me of the days my dad and i used to play with his train set. . .we put so many of those little houses and stores and such buildings together with all the little fake trees. . .yup! reminds me of model train village houses :)

there is irony in what you have said

because the Van Saun Zoo is entirely surrounded by a half-gauge toy train. I think that even without seeing the tracks, the image therefore captures the essence of the Van Saun Zoo, that of a model train village scaled up to child size, and that you probably couldn't have known that makes me even prouder of the image.
